Some brands start with a business plan. This one started with a truck.

I drive regional routes across the Midwest for a living — Iowa is home base, out into Minnesota, Illinois, Wisconsin, Missouri and back. Truckers get called the backbone of America. So do the nurses, the electricians, the plumbers, the people who clock out tired and just want their home to feel right.

That's who Backbone is built for. That's where the name comes from.

Backbone Craft Company started in Evansdale, Iowa — small batches, real ingredients, no shortcuts. We use soy wax because it's a renewable American crop that burns cleaner. We source from small businesses, Iowa first when we can, Midwest when we can't. Every product that leaves here has been tested, refined, and tested again.

We don't chase perfection. We chase progress.

Because better today than yesterday is how strong foundations are built.
