Cancellation policy
This Cancellation Policy explains how order cancellations, changes, and charges work for all purchases made through Backbone Craft Company, LLC (“Backbone,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), including standard orders, subscriptions, pre-orders, and any limited try-before-you-buy offerings. This policy should be read in conjunction with our Terms of Service, Refund Policy, and Shipping Policy.
Standard Orders
Orders for in-stock products begin processing shortly after payment is received.
Because many of our products are handmade or produced in small batches, standard orders cannot be canceled once they have entered processing or fulfillment.
If you need to request a cancellation, you must do so immediately after placing your order. Cancellation requests are not guaranteed and depend entirely on the status of the order at the time the request is received.
Orders that have already entered processing, production, or shipping cannot be canceled and are subject to our Refund Policy.
Subscriptions
When you purchase a subscription, you authorize recurring deliveries and charges based on the frequency, duration, and product selection chosen at checkout. Your payment method will be securely stored and charged automatically for each scheduled delivery unless the subscription is prepaid.
Some subscriptions may automatically renew at the end of their term unless canceled. You may cancel or modify your subscription before the next billing or fulfillment date by using the link provided in your order confirmation email or by accessing your customer account.
Once a subscription order has entered processing or fulfillment for a given cycle, it cannot be canceled for that cycle. Delivered items are subject to our Refund Policy.
Backbone Craft Company, LLC reserves the right to modify, pause, or discontinue subscription offerings at any time.
Pre-Orders
When you purchase a pre-order, you are reserving a product that is not yet in stock or is still in production. Depending on the product, we may charge the full amount at checkout or collect a partial deposit and charge the remaining balance prior to fulfillment.
Estimated ship dates are provided for reference only and are not guaranteed.
You may cancel a pre-order only if the order has not yet entered processing, production, or fulfillment. Once a pre-order has begun production or fulfillment, it cannot be canceled. Fulfilled pre-orders are subject to our Refund Policy.
Try Before You Buy
If a try-before-you-buy option is offered, your payment method will be authorized at checkout but not charged immediately. You will be given a defined evaluation period to decide whether to keep or return the item.
If the item is not returned within the allowed timeframe and according to the provided instructions, your payment method will be charged automatically for the full purchase amount.
Returned items must be unused, in original condition, and returned within the evaluation period. Failure to follow return instructions may result in full charges being applied.
Cancellation Limitations
Cancellations are not guaranteed and are subject to order status at the time the request is received. Orders that have entered processing, production, or fulfillment cannot be canceled. Requests submitted outside applicable cancellation windows will be denied.
Refunds & Returns
All refunds and returns are governed exclusively by our Refund Policy.
FRAGRANCE PREFERENCE, SCENT STRENGTH, OR SUBJECTIVE EXPECTATIONS ARE NOT CONSIDERED DEFECTS AND ARE NOT GROUNDS FOR CANCELLATION OR REFUND.
Final Authority
All cancellation, fulfillment, and charge determinations are made at the sole discretion of Backbone Craft Company, LLC in accordance with this policy and our Terms of Service.
