Shipping policy
OVERVIEW
Backbone Craft Company, LLC (“Backbone,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) ships handcrafted, small-batch products to customers within the United States. This Shipping Policy explains how orders are processed, shipped, and delivered.
SHIPPING DESTINATIONS
We currently ship within the United States only.
We do not offer international shipping, including U.S. territories or APO/FPO addresses, at this time.
ORDER PROCESSING TIME
Orders are typically processed within 3–7 business days after payment is received, unless otherwise stated on the product page or during checkout.
Because many of our products are handmade or produced in small batches, processing times may vary during high-volume periods, promotions, or holidays.
Business days do not include weekends or federal holidays.
SHIPPING METHODS & CARRIERS
We ship orders via UPS and USPS. Carrier selection is based on destination, package size, weight, service availability, and chosen by the customer at checkout.
Shipping services and rates are presented at checkout based on available service levels for your order.
SHIPPING RATES
Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on the selected carrier and service, package weight, and destination.
Any applicable taxes or fees will be displayed before order confirmation.
SHIPPING RATE ADJUSTMENTS
We strive to provide accurate shipping rates at checkout using real-time carrier estimates. In some cases, the final shipping cost charged by the carrier may differ slightly from the checkout estimate due to factors such as packaging requirements, dimensional weight, or carrier adjustments.
Minor differences between the estimated and final shipping cost are absorbed by us. Additional shipping charges will not be applied to an order after it has been placed due to minor rate differences, and refunds for small shipping cost overages are not typically issued.
In rare cases where a significant discrepancy occurs — such as address corrections or oversized shipments — the order may be reviewed internally prior to shipment.
DELIVERY ESTIMATES
Delivery times provided at checkout or in confirmation emails are estimates only and are not guaranteed.
We are not responsible for delays caused by shipping carriers, weather conditions, service disruptions, incorrect or incomplete shipping information, or events outside our control.
RISK OF LOSS
TITLE AND RISK OF LOSS PASS TO THE CUSTOMER ONCE THE ORDER IS TRANSFERRED TO USPS OR UPS.
Backbone Craft Company, LLC is not responsible for lost, stolen, or delayed packages once marked as delivered by the carrier.
INCORRECT SHIPPING INFORMATION
Customers are responsible for providing accurate and complete shipping information at checkout.
Orders shipped to an incorrect address provided by the customer are not eligible for replacement or refund.
DAMAGED PACKAGES
If your order arrives damaged, please initiate a claim through our return portal within 7 days of delivery and include clear photos of:
• The damaged item
• The packaging
• The shipping box (if applicable)
Claims submitted without documentation or outside this window may not be approved.
SHIPPING NOTIFICATIONS & TRACKING
Once your order ships, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking information.
Tracking updates are provided by USPS or UPS and may not reflect real-time status.
FINAL AUTHORITY
All shipping-related decisions, including carrier selection, delivery determinations, and claim eligibility, are made at the sole discretion of Backbone Craft Company, LLC in accordance with this policy and our Terms of Service.
